VIDEO: Chesapeake Bay shares similarities to the Manukau Harbour. For decades it suffered degradation and abuse, damaging the water quality and ecology of the system to a point where something had to be done or it would have been destroyed for ever. The Manukau is now at such a juncture, if we don’t get Government and Auckland Council action to reduce and reverse the damage from the last 100 years we too will be facing a disaster.
